IndSoft, Inc. has an opening for the position of Software Engineer (Ref# SE115VS).

Work Location: Naperville, IL and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Job Duties:

• Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and support business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs, including mainframe applications, and major enhancements of existing systems. Responsible for all phases of the software development life-cycle (SDLC) including analysis, coding, and maintenance using various software skills in mainframes technologies. Responsible for capturing business requirements, analyzing and implementing new functionalities. Work with client vendors to capture all technical requirements, file format, and transmission methods. Identify the encryption method for file transmission, threshold limit. Responsible for analysis, high-level and detailed design, development, and deployment of applications using mainframe software. Extract data from databases including DB2 used along with COBOL programs according to client requirements. Design the extraction method to identify the eligible member using client product and services tools. Design, develop, and automate the ad-hoc process for different vendor requirements to deploy code into production. Code programs for the enhancement projects from clients using COBOL, JCL, SQL, and DB2. Create packages to push COBOL programs into production. Analyze user queries/concerns requests received and provide solutions/answers within stipulated timeline. Update recovery plans and interfaces with data centers and clients on emergency contingency plans and disaster recovery processes. Work with mainframe performance and testing tools. Provide production support for mainframe systems. Use of COBOL, Java, JCL, CICS, VSAM, SQL, DB2, Easytrieve, TSO/ISPF, SPUFI, File-AID, z/OS, Windows, and MS Office.

Requirements:

• This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Mainframe Developer, Systems Engineer, or related experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, SQL, and DB2. 40hrs/week.

Salary: $ 130,707 / year
